Inspired by the apartment galleries that flourished in Paris during the 1960s and 70s — intimate spaces that hosted gatherings of all kinds and audiences — El Principal de Còrsega proposes a way of engaging with contemporary creation and collecting that champions closeness between artists, their works, and all those who wish to experience them in the private, even ‘secret’, setting of a private home. For this reason, access is by invitation or prior appointment only.

El Principal de Còrsega’s programme focuses primarily — though not exclusively — on senior artists with long, established careers. Alongside individual and group exhibitions, the space hosts encounters, debates, talks, presentations and other activities that forge connections between artists, collectors and all those drawn to culture.
