Historically, apartment galleries have been fundamental spaces for the development of contemporary art In the Paris of the 1960s and 70s — a time of profound artistic, social and political transformation — many of the most radical practices found their home in converted apartments, studios and domestic spaces. Far from institutional circuits, these places allowed for new forms of exhibition-making, new ways of relating to audiences, and new dialogues between artists, critics and collectors.
El Principal de Còrsega is born from that tradition, with the mission of creating an intimate and singular space that connects artists directly with those who understand art as an essential part of their lives.
